KAIDO RACER DISPLAY

Kaido Racers

One of the most eye-catching elements of Japanese car culture, Kaido Racers are highly modified vehicles inspired by Japan’s street racing and touring car scene of the 1970s and 1980s. The name comes from the Japanese word kaido (街道), meaning “highway” or “road”.

Known for their dramatic styling, Kaido Racers feature exaggerated bodywork, enormous wings, extended splitters, flared arches, deep-dish wheels and distinctive exhaust systems. Many take inspiration from iconic Japanese race cars from the golden era of Super Silhouette and Group 5 racing.

Originally rooted in underground street culture and the wider bosozoku movement, the style has evolved into a celebrated part of automotive enthusiast culture, with owners building unique machines that blend nostalgia, creativity and motorsport influence.

We’re delighted to have several Kaido Racer builds on display at the event make sure to take a closer look and appreciate the incredible detail, craftsmanship and individuality that make these cars so special.
